Open Session: Jayashree D Bhalla from the Studio for Environment & Architecture, Mumbai will have an open discussion on open space linkage plan for Mumbai. Titled - Greenlink Mumbai, the discussion will be about a proposal for a Green walkway integrated with an Open space Master plan for the city. Mumbai has one of the highest volumes of pedestrians in the world, and despite generous - width sidewalks in some parts of the city, sidewalks become crowded and the quality of the pedestrian experience is dismal. The proposal urges the city planners to formulate a master plan and vision for the country's most ambitious urban open space and greenway system and include it in the Development Plan enriching the lives of the residents. A Green walkway is the best chance to dramatically reduce transportation emissions.
