Dr. Joachim Krausse, Scholar, Curator, Author, Filmmaker on Buckminister Fuller
Dr. Joachim Krausse is presently a member of the Faculty of Design Theory at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences, Dessau, Germany. Prof Krausse stands on an enviable legacy of work in design and architecture, which, in addition to his teaching, includes curating international exhibitions, directing documentaries on housing and living for German television. These are supplemented by widely published works on History and Theory of Architecture, Design and Technical Culture.
Fumihiko Maki, Principal Architect,
Maki & Associates, Japan
Fumihiko Maki is a major figure in Japanese architecture since the late 1950s. He is a recognized member of the Metabolist movement - a group of ambitious postwar Japanese architects who advocated the embracing of new technology with a concomitant belief in architecture's organic, humanist qualities. He is known for his rational approach, intelligent combination of technology with craftsmanship, and delicate details - all of which are illustrated in projects for cultural, residential, commercial, educational as well as office, convention, and sports facilities.
Victor Legorreta, Legorreta+Legorreta Architects, Mexico
Victor Legorreta is a partner at Legorreta+Legorreta Architects in Mexico City. His has worked with eminent architects across the globe including Leason Pomeroy and Associates and Fumihiko Maki. He frequently lectures on architecture and is currently a professor at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
Francisco Cortina is an architect who strives for design and execution excellence. He began his career with Legorreta+Legorreta and continues to collaborate with them on projects in the Middle East. He set up FC Design, in Sweden in 2005, which has been instrumental in providing design solutions that integrate architecture, design and art.
